Accelerated or Fast-Track Classes

READ -3-1/READ 0302, 8 weeks/8 weeks
ENGL 0301/ENGL 0302, 8 weeks/8 weeks

• Classes met 5 days a week, MTWRF
• Students must register for both classes to complete both semesters in one.
• Emphasis is on COMPASS/THEA skills development, and preparation for ENGL 1301.
• Students evaluated at mid-semester
  • Passing students move into next section.
  • Failing students assigned into 0100 section for additional instruction.

Individualized Accelerated Classes

READ 0100 & ENGL 0100: Students placed in this option must have department chair approval, will be assigned to a specific instructor for mentoring, and will have an individually designed course of study to complete for Pass/Fail grade.

Concurrent Enrollment

ENGL 0302 & READ 0302 (2 periods back-to-back):

• Student enrolls in both courses.
• One instructor teaches both courses.
• One text for both courses.
• Tutorial component integrated.
