Streib Academic Computer Center
The Streib Academic Computer Center is open to all students who need help with assignments of any kind that require assistance with computer programs. The Streib Center also offers course specific software for areas including agriculture, biology, English, higher level mathematics, nursing, keyboarding, geology (Google Earth™), astronomy, and education. Learning specialists and trained lab attendants are prepared to assist students with learning needs of all types, particularly those associated with computer use for academic instruction. Staff members are CRLA certified.
Location:
The Streib Center is located on the lower floor of the Weatherford College Library, just inside the south entrance. Lab Specialist Stan O'Neal's office is located inside the Streib Center.
Reservations:
Weatherford College instructors need to reserve the Streib Center. Tarleton instructors will need to contact their Tarleton liaison to make reservations. Library staff members schedule library instruction sessions through the Streib Center calendar as in the past. Reservations will be confirmed as quickly as possible.
Student Information:
- Students are free to visit the Streib Center at any time during regular hours of operation; however, when a class is being held for research and/or instruction, the Streib is not available for general student use.
- Students are required to sign in and out so that accurate records can be kept.
- Students will be asked to respond to a Streib Center Evaluation as often as deemed helpful.
