Writing Courses

Weatherford College offers 2 levels of developmental writing courses. Placement is determined by assessment scores and educational background.

Courses:

ENGL 0301 emphasizes college level writing including grammar, paragraph structure, essay form, critical reading and analytical skills. Three class hours and one hour of tutorials per week.

ENGL 0302 emphaxizes basic rhetorical principles of college level wrting including effective paragraph development and essay organization to prepare students for ENGL 1301. Three class hours and one hour of tutorials per week.

Restrictions:

Students who do not achive passing scores on the wring portion of the assessment will not be allowed to enroll in ENGL 1301 until remediation requirements are met.
